VGA is a hardware standard and is, therefore, extremely inflexible.  VGA does not support alternate display sizes 
(such as two-page displays), so applications that require these displays must handle them directly.  Users must obtain special drivers if they wish to use any other capabilities beyond the basic VGA standard.  

These drivers are offered on an application-by-application basis and can lead to problems with interface consistency and incompatibility.
